Founded by Steven Murenzi and powered by Press HR Solutions, the platform brings together professionals, leaders, and organizations committed to creating environments where people thrive—because we believe that putting people first is the foundation of organizational success.

OUR FOUNDER
Steven Murenzi is a distinguished human capital strategist and one of the leading voices in advancing professional, inclusive, and future-focused human resource management across Rwanda and the East African region. With over 13 years of impactful leadership, he currently serves as the Director of People Management at the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA), where he champions institution-wide people transformation initiatives that enhance organizational agility, operational efficiency, and workforce well-being in alignment with national development goals.
He is the founder of People Matters Kigali-Rwanda, a national platform that connects HR professionals across industries to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Under his leadership, People Matters hosts quarterly forums, publishes a widely circulated monthly HR magazine, and organizes the People Matters Awards, which recognize organizations and professionals that are redefining HR and workplace culture in Rwanda. The platform has become a powerful engine for thought leadership, policy dialogue, and HR community building.
Steven is also a pioneer of the Rwandan Human Resources Management Organization (RHRMO), Rwanda’s flagship HR professional body affiliated with the African Federation of Human Resources Management Associations (AFHRMA) and the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA). Through his strategic foresight and dedication, RHRMO has played a vital role in professionalizing HR in Rwanda and positioning it as a strategic enabler of public and private sector growth.
At the regional level, Steven serves as the Chair of the East African Tax Administration HR Technical Sub-Committee, operating under the East African Community (EAC) Commissioner Generals’ Forum. In this role, he leads strategic efforts to harmonize HR practices, promote regional capacity building, and strengthen collaboration among EAC revenue administrations. His leadership is instrumental in advancing shared HR solutions and driving cross-border public sector transformation.
Steven is also a WCO Accredited HRM Expert and an active member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He brings deep expertise in strategic workforce planning, culture transformation, internal communication, and leadership development. His leadership philosophy is grounded in values, innovation, and service, making him a trusted advisor and catalyst for organizational growth.
With a strong commitment to shaping the future of work, Steven continues to influence national and regional HR agendas—elevating the profession and positioning human capital as a cornerstone of sustainable development and institutional success.
